Author Lou Sabini, Dan Ford (grandson of director John Ford) and Stan Taffel pose outside of the Egyptian Theater after a screening of Ford's "They Were Expendable"

Cinecon President Bob Birchard, Vice President Stan Taffel pose with pianist Frederick Hodges who accompanied several classic silent films during the five day film festival.

During Cinecon 52, author John Bengtson lead a locations tour of the Hollywood area near the Egyptian Theater.  The highlight was the East Cahuenga Alley where Charles Chaplin filmed a sequence for "The Kid" (1921).  In a Then & Now moment, the tour posed in the same place as Chaplin did during production of his feature film.

Cinecon 51 was a big success.  Now the work begins for Cinecon 52.
